1. LIGHTS
-Check the operation of the headlights and taillights, and signal lights.
-Check brake lights.
-Are all the lenses clean and intact?
2. WIPERS
-Check the condition and operation of the wiper blades, (streaking).
-Check windshield washer fluid levels and operation.
-Inspect the windshield for chips and cracks.
3. TIRES
-Perform a visual inspection of tires for abnormal wear and obvious problems.
-Check tire pressure and adjust if necessary.

4. OIL
-Check level and condition of oil.
5. AIR AND EMISSION FILTERS
-Check condition of air filter, and cabin filter if necessary.
-Check condition of the PVC valve.
6. FUEL FILTER
-Visually inspect fuel filter for possible leaks and ask customer of recent replacement.
7. BELTS
-Check condition of drive belts.
8. HOSES
-Check condition of radiator and heater hoses.
-Check condition of the fuel line hoses.
-Check condition of the vacuum line hoses.
9. COOLING SYSTEM
-Check condition of coolant and concentration.
-Check for any indication of radiator clogging.
10. FLUID LEAKS
-Inspect the engine compartment for any signs of fluid leaks.
-Inspect valve cover gasket for oil leaks.
11. ELECTRICAL AND CHARGING SYSTEM
-Check condition of battery terminals and cables.
12. FLUID LEVELS
-Check automatic transmission fluid.
-Check Brake fluid, and power steering.

13. SHOCK ABSORBERS / STRUTS
-Visually inspect shocks for fluid leaks.
-Check tires for abnormal wear that may be attributed to worn shocks.
14. SUSPENSION AND STEERING
-Inspect front suspension and steering mechanism.
-Inspect rear suspension components.
15. U-JOINTS OR CV JOINTS
-Inspect for wear or damage.
16. TRANSMISSION
-Check condition and level of fluid.
-Check for filter and fluid service.
-Check for leaks.
17. GREASE AND FLUID LEVELS
-Check differential fluid, front and rear.
-Check manual transmission fluid.
-Check any remaining fluid levels.
18. WATER PUMP / FROST PLUGS
-Visually check area below water pump for signs of leaks.
-Inspect frost plugs for leaks.
19. EXAUST SYSTEM
-Inspect exhaust system for leaks, broken hangers, loose clamps, and damaged components.
20. BEARINGS AND SEALS
-Inspect all bearings and seals for leaks and damage.
21. LEAK CHECK
-Final visual check under car for signs of oil and other fluid leaks before signing off.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should your vehicles be serviced?
- You should service your vehicles every 3 months, or 5000 km.  
- Air filters are good for 20,000 km or 1 year.
- Fuel filters should be changed every 30,000 km or 1 year.
- We maintain service records; e-mail reminders are available.

 

How long does it take to service a vehicle?
10-15 minutes, depending on size of vehicle.
- Rad, Transmission, and Differential services average an extra 30 minutes.

 

What type of oil should I put in my vehicle?
-Our specialized Quick Lube software contains all specs for oils and capacities for your vehicle.  We simply scan your bar code (V.I.S.#) to access this information. We can upgrade to a synthetic blend or full synthetic at your request.

- Wash Cards can be used in all self serve bays, and the 2 automatic car washes.

• Wash Exit architectural features: Natural local rock, antique timbers reclaimed from look-out tower, stamped concrete to emulate fir planks and flagstone rock gives appearance of exiting from mountain mineshaft.

• Construction materials: Unique to Central BC is the Octaform plastic walls filled with concrete – exceptional durability & ease of maintenance, energy efficient, used in wash bay & lube basement. Remainder of the building is wood frame, & fiber board interior. Outdoor ambiance is created by spacious bays, abundance of windows, rock water feature, pine logs, birch tongue & groove siding & trim, stainless steel stair railings. Point of sale stations & cabinets are of pine construction.

• Green Elements: Lube bays – 14 ft doors to accommodate RV (standard is 12 ft), energy efficient to accept solar heat and automatically open to 8 feet to conserve energy, with easy override for larger vehicles. All used oil collected from vehicles is used to heat the building.
